The Society of Decorative Painters (SDP) describes decorative art as follows: “Tole and Decorative Painting is defined as the method painting of designs on any object to decorate or make a picture. Method is defined as regular, orderly, definite procedure or way of teaching.” “Decorative Painting is a diverse art form utilizing a variety of techniques and media to decorate functional and non-functional surfaces.”
Creative Artists of Central Florida, an affiliated chapter of SDP, was established in 1979 and chartered in 1985.
